چکیده

As an alternative raw material for various cellulose derivatives, the current research studied processing of old corrugated container (OCC) in subsequent stages homogenization (soda cooking) and purification (bleaching with hypochlorite). The properties were characterized four different categories including chemical composition or purity, accessibility, reactivity, structural features. Alkali delignification a bleaching sequence HEHEHEA selected pulp followed by characterization properties. dissolving exhibited following properties: yield, 78%; cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin content, 90.5%, 7.76%, 0.3%, respectively; alpha 70%. Pulp reactivity measured two experiments showed Fock value 85.67% as well iodine sorption (ISV) 94.95 g/g; accessibility represented tests water retention (WRV) alkali capacity (ARC) 6.87 first 6.1% latter, degree polymerization (DP), 913.4; crystallinity index, 76.95%; brightness, 72.87%. FTIR spectroscopy Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) isotherms utilized to examine modifications OCC pulp. results indicated that produced from is suitable DP applications derivatives.

Extended Delignification of Old Corrugated Container and Totally Chlorine Free Bleaching of the Pulp

The paper industry has taken various steps to address environmental concerns and raw material limitations. Among them, paper recycling has been shown to be a viable option. In this study, the alkaline sulfite pulping of old corrugated containers (OCC) to produce bleachable pulp was investigated. A combination of one of the three active alkali levels (14, 16, and 18%; Na2O, and oven-dry weight o...

Dissolving Pulp Production from Bamboo

Commercial bamboo chips were evaluated as raw material for dissolving pulp production. The chips were auto-hydrolyzed (AH) and subsequently cooked by the NaOH/AQ process and bleached to full brightness with the O-CCE-D-(EP)-D-P sequence. The term CCE designates a cold caustic extraction stage. The bamboo chip chemistry (22.4% lignin, 19.5% xylans, 49.3% cellulose, 16.8% total extractives, and 1...

Dissolving Pulp (alpha-cellulose) from Corn Stalk by Kraft Process

Corn stalk can be used as an alternative non-wood raw material to produce cellulosic dissolving grade pulp. In this work, the potential of corn stalk in the production of dissolving pulp (alpha-cellulose) was investigated. It was collect ed from a corn stalk farm of Kermanshah, Iran. The sequences of experimental work were: water and acid prehydrolysis at 160˚C for 30min, followed by Kraft pulp...
